Privacy Policy
1. Information we process
The app may process the following information to provide its functions:
- App-generated device identifier: a random identifier created by the app and used to retrieve the correct kiosk configuration for that installation.
- Kiosk configuration: customer app name, selected page URL and uploaded logo.
- Administrator sign-in information: the administrator username and password are transmitted over HTTPS for authentication. The app does not save the administrator password on the device.
- Technical information: our hosting and security systems may temporarily process IP address, request date and time, and basic request or error information.
- Website information: websites opened inside the kiosk may use cookies, local storage, account information or other data required by those websites.
2. Camera and microphone
NEXA-PRO requests camera and microphone permissions so an authorized website displayed in the kiosk can use features such as barcode or QR scanning, image capture, audio communication or recording. Access requires Android permission and is used only when requested by the displayed website. NEXA-PRO does not independently record or store camera images or microphone audio. The operator of the displayed website is responsible for explaining how that website processes such content.
3. How information is used
- Load the website and branding assigned to an installed device.
- Authenticate authorized administrators and save kiosk settings.
- Create or update the customer-branded home-screen shortcut.
- Maintain security, diagnose errors and prevent misuse.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by hosting and infrastructure providers acting on our behalf, by the website selected for the kiosk, or when disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect users, Nexara Solutions or the public. A customer-selected website may have its own privacy policy and data practices.
5. Cookies and web storage
The Android WebView supports cookies, third-party cookies and browser storage so the selected website can provide login sessions and normal web functionality. These technologies are controlled by the displayed website and may be cleared by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
6. Data retention and deletion
Local kiosk settings remain on the device until they are replaced, app storage is cleared, or the app is uninstalled. Server-side configuration is retained while the installation or customer service remains active and may be retained longer when reasonably required for security, legal obligations or dispute resolution. To request access, correction or deletion of server-side kiosk configuration, email info@nexara.lk. We may request information needed to verify the installation or requester.
7. Security
We use HTTPS for communication with the NEXA-PRO configuration service and apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Children's privacy
NEXA-PRO is a business kiosk tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through the configuration service.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, applicable law or our data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published.
